Studium Generale: “Research Proposal Writing: Practical Insights” - PART 1

The English Education Study Program of the Faculty of Languages and Arts, Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA), successfully held the first session of the Studium Generale event titled “Research Proposal Writing: Practical Insights” on Friday, May 9th, 2025, at 1 PM via Zoom. This academic forum is specially designed for students of the 2022 and 2023 cohorts.

 

The first session featured Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Agung Wijaya Mahardika and Dr. Ninuk Indrayani, who provided in-depth and practical guidance on how to write a strong and effective introduction and literature review sections in a research proposal. The topics covered included formulating clear and focused research problems, research objectives, and structuring theoretical frameworks.

  

Students participated with great enthusiasm, with more than 150 attendees actively engaging throughout the session. The Q&A segment was especially lively, with students asking insightful questions. Both speakers answered each question with clarity and practical tips, which helped the participants feel more confident about writing their own proposals.
