UNESA English Education Students Won 1st Winner of Drama Performance at ENCOMPASS Drama Competition
A team of students from Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) achieved 1st place of Drama Performance at ENCOMPASS (English National Competition of Performance Art and Social Speaking) “Echoes of Humanity: Stories Across Generation”. The competition was held from May 26-30, 2024, at Universitas Brawijaya, Malang.
The winning team, consists of Muhammad Anugerah Rimba Abdillah (21020084076) and Akbar Nugroho (21020084079) from the English Education program, alongside Nevthalia Maheswari (20010014011) and Muhammad Raditya Rahmannanda (20010014005) from the Guidance and Counseling program, captivated both the judges and the audience with their exceptional drama performance. Their portrayal of intricate characters and exploration of deep emotional narratives stood out in the competition, earning them top honors.
The UNESA team’s performance was particularly notable for its technical excellence and poignant storytelling. Their narrative, rich in historical context and personal reflection, resonated deeply with the audience. It beautifully illustrated the interconnectedness of generations and the enduring legacy of human stories.
